Is there a way to give someone permission to access the members tab in the admin control panel without giving them access to all the areas of the admin control panel?  Specifically I want to give certain users the ability to email coaches or player registration groups, but they don't need access to other areas.

Hey Orion,

You can give permissions to specific tabs in the admin control panel like you are asking. Here is the help article detailing how to do this.

thanks!

The problem with this is there is not option to select the members tab in the control panel.  It only shows up in the control panel when other options are selected.

This is a bit complicated, but I was able to make this happen.

Here is my scenario.  We have two teams at the U11 level.  I needed a way for the coach of either team to be able to email their team, or BOTH teams.

So I created 2 groups.  One called U11Z and one called U11Y. (They are the same group of all U11 players, and I will explain why I made 2 of them in a minute)

So each coach already had the ability to email their team as I made them owners of their team page.

The way to add the option to send a message to BOTH teams to add the group that you created to PAGE SPECIFIC in the members/groups area.

What happens is when the coach goes to messaging on his team page, he can now hit the drop down and see that other group (of both team players)

The reason I had to create 2 of the exact same group (Z and Y) is because once you assign it to page specific, it disappears from your group list.

If you have questions, you can email me.
