Hi all,

Curious what organizations are doing to set up team stores on their NGIN sites. Ours is in need of an overhaul.

Can you please provide links if your org has one?

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Joe,

What kind of things are you trying to sell? Is this an apparel store?

Yes, an apparel store. We use a formsite code right now, but it does not work for us.

Here are a couple of sites on our platform that do apparel stores. We don't have an integration with any specific companies so they are either iFramed in or link out to the store.

Here's another site with an online store displayed prominently:

Hi Joe,

On the blakebears.org site, we have been really fortunate to have a great store run through Nike - Lids Team Sports.  It's an external site that pops open from our homepage.  You can find more about setting up a store here.   There is basically no risk on inventory, products and everything is shipped directly from Lids.  We earn a portion of the proceeds in cash and a portion in comp gear.  When you setup the store you can send them your logos or they can help customize new ones for you.

I hope that helps a little! Let me know if you have more questions!

Thanks, Lindsay

Just to throw in another angle for the store. You can actually create a store on your own using a non-monetary registration.  If you have a selection of 25 or so items, you can add the sizes and pictures of them and then instead of actually 'registering' they are sending an order form to the person who takes care of spirit wear.

Just another take on it.

Does anyone have a template of how to do an apparel ordering off a non-monetary registration.  Just curious of how to go along with this process.

SportsEngine now offers and integrated store page element with SquadLocker. You can add the page element and include your store id and it will be integrated within your page.

thanks,

If you take the non monetary registration approach for ordering apparel (we are going to try it for tournament t-shirt sales), is there a way to create a question that adds up the quantities and prices of the items being ordered?

Not sure if this answers your questions completely, but I just did a run through of the Colorado Junior Crew store, and it did total up my purchases as I went to check out.

Here's the link if you want to take a look: https://cjcrew.sportngin.com/register/form/335197117

We can give you more information on how that was built if you are interested.

Just a heads up that I have posted a Pro Tips article sharing some tricks and tips on how the Colorado Junior Crew apparel store was set up: http://community.sportngin.com/news_article/show/697310?referrer_id=1286159

Hey Rob - A couple of questions. NC Youth Soccer uses SportsEngine for our state website. With Squad Locker - I noticed:

1. You had to have a 'cut off' date on ordering. Does that mean you can't have a store that's open 24/7, year round?

2. Do you know what the profit rates are on products, and can we set our own prices?

Thanks!

Hey Mark,

You're correct on the open and close date with the locker. We're hoping to work with them to provide a year round store, but today the product works based on an open/close date. Regarding their rates, I'm not sure. I would reach out to them at their customer contact form. http://www.squadlocker.com/contact

thanks!
