I use this snippet of code to turn the background of our site icon transparent:

<style>#sn-site-logo {
background-color: transparent;
border: 0px;
}
</style>

But I have to remember to grab it and paste it into every new news story and page I create. I could have sworn there was a place to put this code so that new news stories used it - but now I can't find it. Does this functionality exist or am I crazy?

It's a little bit hacky, but put that <style> snippet into the

Go to ADMIN CP > Website Settings > Theme Settings > Logo > Title

It can be added after a real page title, if you have one.

Also, there's a character limit so don't start thinking a bunch of code can go in there.

We have a new admin area that you can use to default in head code on news articles. You can find it here https://[yourwebsite]/site_admin/seo News Article Head Code

Aha! I knew I'd seen it somewhere...just never considered it'd be in the SEO section!

Rob - is there a way to put this code so that any new pages also get this code?

Yup--it's can be found at

https://[yourwebsite]/site_admin/seo and then click on the  News Article Head Code tab. Once you are in there, anything you put in will be the default on new articles created. You can, however, override it on an individual article basis if you choose

Rob - I'm good on the news articles...my latest question was about new General pages. If I set up a new General page, I'm finding that I have to go in and set the head code on each new page. I'd love the "edit head functionality" for all pages on my site. Just curious if that already exists somewhere.

Ah sorry--the answer is 'sort of' If you put it in the head code of a page that is the top of your nav in the cascading head code it will cascade to all the pages below it. For example, my lacrosse site http://www.mplsyouthlacrosse.com 5 top level pages. I put it in those then anything else on the site gets it (excluding dibs which you cannot put any code on)

OK, that's what I thought...I had added a few top-row pages on different sites recently and had to do THOSE manually...but then underneath those I'm good. Thanks.
