Is there any way to add an enhancement that would send out an email automatically any time an event is added or changed on the calendar?

I manage a hockey team and one thing that is tough for everyone is to get a notice that something has been changed or added.

We all have the ical set up so our google calendars are updated, but unless you specifically check the calendars, you wont know if there is a change that has taken place.

Ideally as the manager, if there was something I could set up for a Calendar email alert list, then everyone and more importantly myself, will know about any changes.

My only way of knowing anything has changed is for me to manually check calendars, and even at that, if there is a change or add, the only way I can figure it out is to compare to an older calendar.

A simple email list that I can manually set up one time, and enable the feature would be great.

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to give us suggestions and feedback. This is something we are working towards implementing this year. Along with that, if you follow the team through our Sport Ngin mobile app, you would be able to receive a push notification telling you an event has been changed.

Thanks

Any update on this? You mentioned that it was something you were working on and it's been a year so hopefully this update is coming soon as it's critical for us too.  Thanks!

This feature is now integrated into the mobile application. If a user has the mobile app on their phone, a notification will appear that either a game or an event has changed. At this point, we don't have email notifications going out to users. However, a coach can always use TeamCenter to send out a message with more details about the change they made at the same time they are making the schedule change.

thanks,
-rob

Any chance you'll integrate automatic email and/or SMS messages when schedule changes happen? I get that you have push notifications via the mobile app, but that presupposes and requires that each user have a smartphone, have the mobile app installed, and turned on push notifications. We have some parents or even grandparent/guardians who don't have smart phones.  Also, having the coach or team manager log use TeamCenter to send the details is adding extra work for the coach or manager, something we are trying to eliminate via the system. If they can make a change and have everyone notified via email or SMS at the same time, it's much more efficient. Thanks.

We are interested in this same feature. This was something we had on our old site and our families found it very helpful. It was less work on the volunteers as well to not have to send individual emails after each schedule update.

robbedeaux - You seem to have completely missed the requirements of the original feature request here. I am in the same boat as the other folks above. While an in-app notification is good, it is NOT a replacement for email notifications. Can you PLEASE incorporate email notifications as an option for additions/changes to scheduled games, practices and events? I have several parents asking for this as not all of them have a smart phone or they don't want to install the app. Thank you!

We have built RSVP reminders that will go out 48 hours before a game that remind parents to check their availability for the upcoming game or event. This is the only email notification that will go out automatically in regards to an event or game. A push notification is still the only form of automatic communication that will go out from within the Mobile App to let parents and athletes know of a change or cancellation to a game.

There are currently some updates planned that will enhance the game/event notifications within the Mobile App and email notifications will be something the team begins looking at when that work takes place in early 2019.

Your customers have been asking for push email notifications for event changes since 2015 and it's not going to be actively worked on until 2019??? Not to mention, one of the original replies from your company was that this functionality was going to be worked on then (in 2015!). Is this ever going to really happen? I'm having my doubts. Going back to TeamSnap is looking a lot more appealing right now, if this can't be resolved. I know I have parents asking me to do just that.
