Our league requires each player (1900 players) provide their individual national registry number when teams upload their rosters.  The rosters and all information is set for public view in the variables form.

Is there a way to still have the team rosters uploaded so as a league admin we can see this one variable of 9 being used, but the public would not be able to see this one lone variable?

Thanks,

I'd be curious to know how you are uploading the rosters.

Are you rostering through registration? Are you importing your players through an Excel spreadsheet? Some other way?

While we don't have a way that I know of to only show certain roster variables from the roster page or a player profile page to admins only, I can think of a couple of workarounds depending on how you are rostering your players.

If you are rostering your players through registration, you could create a survey report from registration that shows the national registry number, then put that survey report on a private page that only league admins have access to.

If you are rostering your players from an Excel spreadsheet, you could put that spreadsheet that shows the national registry number on a private page that only our admins have access to.

Hope that helps.

Hello,

For this first year we have had all the club teams uploading by the excel template format.

They have been adding players directly after the initial upload via the edit mode.

This was all good when we had the rosters in private mode for the team and league admins.
Now that the rosters are open to public viewing we had to turn the registration # variable to false, but unfortunately team admins can not input the number anymore.

I think for 2018 we'll incorporate using the registration function in some format.

Good plan for the future.

In general, and if possible, rostering through registration is always the preferred method because it allows you to do so much with that roster information (messaging being one prime example).

And, of course, to only display to the public some of that roster information.

Best of luck!
