I have a few instances where I need to send the same message to multiple Registrations, or Surveys.

For example, I have two distinctly different Adult Leagues with separate registrations, but I sometimes need to send a message to all adults for the season, or to make announcements.

I create groups and reports but I have not been able to find a way to combine two registrations. Also, I can't seem to find a way to combine Smart Groups for a single message.

Is there a way to do this that I am missing? It would be a great idea to have an option to add one group to another group.

I can export the two lists as csv and combine with a spreadsheet program, but then I have to use my personal email and it has a limit to number of recipients, so this is not a good option.

You can use templates if you are sending them with page elements.

Hi there,

Mark is correct that currently creating a message template is the best way to do this today. You create the template in the Admin Control Panel first and then use it on both registration groups. With that said, we are looking at ways to make this a more seamless process by possibly selecting multiple groups or changing how the general user filtering works.

You can see an example of this here.

Hi, is there an update on this request? In addition to messaging my users who completed the registration, I need to add coaches to the message as well (they did not complete the registration). Is there a way to do this? I'd like to use the newsletter feature for the message since it supports graphics and advance layouts, etc.

Also, the example link in the previous message is broken. [frown]

I'm a huge SE advocate, but still struggling with the correct approach for messaging from time to time. There are seemingly a dozen different places where one can create and send a message, so trying to determine what part of the site to send a message can be arduous.

What I'd do in your situation is to use the new Members screen, and the filtering on that screen, to select your different registrations. So it'd look something like this:

Filter:

2018 Registration Status Active
AND
2019 Registration Status Active

Then select all checkboxes on the left and hit 'send message' (it might just say MESSAGE).

The limitation here is that it's only a text-based message...you can't add any other page elements (perhaps my biggest gripe with the members screen). But this at least gets your message out to more than one registration. This is new as of 2017/2018ish so would not have been available when you first asked this question.
