All,

Is there a forum for Sportsengine webmasters, schedulers, or users to share ideas and help each other out?  I have found that most folks running a sports league are volunteering their time and it always helps to have ideas/pointers to save time!  If there is not one, I have a join.me account and would be willing to host a call so we can help each other out.

I am the scheduler coordinator and technology chair for a non-profit basketball league in Missouri.  We generally have 140 teams, 1200+ kids in 1st - 12th grades.  http://www.lsbasketball.com.

I have 4 years of experience using Sportsengine as well as a couple of the products that integrate with Sportsengine.  My goal is to share my lessons learned and hopefully learn from other folks who use Sportsengine.

Please respond if you are interested or have information regarding an existing forum I can plug into.

Thanks,

John

Hey John,

This is awesome. I'd love to participate. I'm the SportsEngine pro for our 1200 member hockey association so would love some pointers.

I do work here at SportsEngine as you probably know so if you want to keep it to just users, let me know. I wouldn't take it personally.

Hey Jim, thanks for the response, would be great to have you join! Are you an account rep? I ask as I wonder if this is something the account reps could mention to their customers to see if they are interested?

Isn't that was this very forum is for? It's what I use it for 😉

I run three sites for three different orgs, going back to 2014 or so. I bug (well, ask) this group questions on a regular basis 😉

Hey Proulx06, thanks for the response.  I agree with you that is what this forum is for and it is very helpful for when you have an issue or have a question on what you want to accomplish.  I am interested in what I don't know or don't have a question to ask.  Sharing ideas that leads me to say "oh, I didn't know I could do that or about that integration" or learning better and more efficient ways to help my league out.

With you running three sites for three different orgs, I am confident there are things I could learn from you!

Officially at SportsEngine, I've ran Product Marketing for the past 5 plus years. My role really involves working as a feedback loop with customers and our product team, and from our product team back to our customers. I produce a webinar series where I look at using SE products in day to day operations for clubs, tournaments etc.

I'm also a soccer and hockey coach, and sit on the board of one of the largest hockey clubs in the country. Of course I run all of our SportsEngine needs for the club as well in addition to sponsorships/fundraising and this year 6U level coordinator.

I love this idea. I try to check in here daily to help anyone out where I can and am more than willing to participate and help facilitate. I love the idea of a monthly get together/join.me where we just collectively discuss whatever participants want to. I work closely with our account reps and I'm sure they could engage other customers to participate if we get something rolling.
