Am I the only one frustrated with the news rendering in the mobile app?  Paragraphs run together and the preview text displays in the article even though said option is unchecked.

I raised it as an issue a bit ago... and see the new release of the mobile app hasn't changed anything.

I want them to be able to see team specific news on their pages and in the app, but the way they are rendered in the mobile app only serves to make me look like I don't know how to create an article.

Hi there,

I'd love to see an example. Here is an example of one of the news articles we have on our 'board team.' The headline is a little off but just slightly.

Understood, I have previously reported it.  With it not getting addressed though as of yet, trying other avenues to get the issue recognized.  The issues that hit my users in the face like this bug me, others I can live with.

Good afternoon!

I'm also having a similar problem with HTML rendering correctly in the app's news feed...particularly with images in the body of the article, or features such as tabbed images.  It would be helpful to have the news articles fully responsive from within the app as they are on the site.

The issue seems to also affect messages in the app...links are not being parsed correctly (see screenshot).  They show up correctly when viewed from my dashboard, but I would venture to say that 98% of our parents communicate solely through the app.

Something like links being clickable within a message to parents is essential for us on the app, since that's the primary form of communication for our teams.  Is this user error on my side, or something that needs to be fixed?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

I happened to just look, not prompted by any notification that anything was changed...

But I see the article paragraphs are not running together any more.  However, the preview text displays in the article even though said option is unchecked still.

I cant even tag the teams with news articles because they render so terribly in the mobile app, consider the article at http://www.saratogaspringslittleleague.org/news_article/show/892651 which renders as shown below.

The preview photo is used instead of the actual photo.... the preview text displays even though I unchecked the box... and the document I included doesn't show at all.

I was tagging teams in articles to get the news on the team page and just hoping my users aren't looking at them in the mobile app, but now it seems you are sending notifications to the users mobile when I publish an article with the team tagged.  Certainly no hiding and hoping now.

If you aren't going to fix how terribly the articles render in the app any time soon, perhaps you could just disable viewing of them entirely and/or stop the notifications for a new article?  Just eliminate the News section in the app until it gets worked out?

Hi Folks

Thanks for all of the feedback and perspective on this! Its great to hear how our users utilize our app functionality as it helps us identify where we should focus our efforts. We have a big roadmap of exciting work in 2018 but I'll make sure News Articles get a look so we can address the issues where appropriate in our roadmap.

Thanks again!
